4 trains are staged in the yard at Staples waiting for a new crew.

For a town of less than 3,000 people, the Staples Station is impressive. It looks like the front end of 7890 was hastily repaired and painted after an altercation with a vehicle.

An all EMD Northtown to Grand Forks manifest was a nice way to end our day. SD40-2, SD40-2, GP38-2 (with a reddish-orange patch to the conductor's side cab), SD40-2, SD40-2, MP15DC!

Our wait on the overpass in Staples was nearly ruined by a cloud, but the sun came out just in time to give us a good look at the train of the day.
